Liquid Membrane Elastomeric Asphalt Emulsion Waterproofing

Description

Aqua-Bloc® 720-38 is an elastomeric, liquid-applied, emulsified asphalt water-based membrane designed for waterproofing foundation walls and other structures. It meets and even exceeds the requirements of the CAN/CGSB-37.2 standard.

Uses

Use to waterproof poured concrete or block foundation walls, insulated concrete forms, footings, double-cast slabs and retaining walls.

Restrictions

Not intended to be permanently exposed to the open air. Must be protected during construction work. Do not apply to wet surfaces. All bitumen emulsions contain some amount of bitumen micelle; the contractor must therefore implement a sieving system during spray applications.

The Aqua-Bloc® 720-38 membrane cannot be applied when the ambient temperature and that of the substrate is below 5°C, nor when it is raining or if there is a forecast of rain within the next 16 hours. Do not apply if the ambient temperature is expected to fall below 0°C within the next 48 hours.
